Since 2012, the scholarship program of Daewoong Foundation has turned out to be the basis for Universitas Indonesia (UI) to give an award to PT Daewoong Pharmaceutical Company Indonesia.

The University Indonesia Scholarships Award 2017 was submitted by the UIS Award Committee of 2017, and received directly by Daewoong Pharmaceutical Chief of Representative for Indonesia, Mr. Yang Woong Yeol at Balairung UI, UI Depok Campus, Monday (13/11/2017).

UI’s Rector, Prof. Dr Muhammad Anis, on his opening speech said that, as the oldest university in Indonesia, UI is the main destination. UI provides the widest opportunity to the nation generation in education in UI but sometimes constrained in terms of financial ability. To get the best education it would required financially. But it does not limit the people who have good academic performance but weak financial ability.

PT Daewoong Pharmaceutical Company Indonesia since 2012 until now has participated in providing scholarship assistance to UI students, including the Faculty of Medicine, the Korean Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Pharmacy and for the time being for students studying biotechnology.

Prof. Anis also greatly appreciate the presence of Chief of Representative Daewoong for Indonesia, Mr. Yang Woong Yeol.
