Daewoong Pharmaceutical Company Indonesia (Daewoong Indonesia) make a collaboration with Universitas Indonesia (UI) in the establishment of “Bio Technology Research Centre UI-Daewoong” which located at Integrated Learning & Research Center (ILRC) UI, Depok, West Java, Indonesia. This facility was inaugurated on Friday (6/4) by the Rector of UI, Prof. Muhammad Anies, M.Met and President Director of Daewoong Indonesia, Mr. Jeon Sengho, witnessed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea for Indonesia, H.E. KIM Chang Beom, Director General of Pharmacy and Medical Devices, Ministry of Health, Dra. Maura Linda Sitanggang, Ph.D., Director General for Research and Development, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Dr. Muhammad Dimyati, together with the Board of Director of Daewoong Indonesia and UI’s management.
Bio Technology Research Centre UI – Daewoong is the first educational research & development centre for biotechnology in Indonesia and will develop new biological medicine (Biosimilars, mAb, and Steam cell products) with university and research institute by Open-collaboration program. Daewoong Indonesia already developed a hemopoietin (EPODION) in Indonesia and through this facility will develop another bio medicines step by step and at the end will contribute to the Indonesian Healthcare Industry through developing of bio-technology infrastructure and the innovation of bio medicines.
